The Periodicals from Around the World, 1691-1880 collection is comprised of titles that were either published outside of the United States, or published within the United States but largely concerned with foreign countries. They were read by both American and international audiences. Mostly published in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, they represent the continued influence of colonialism on literature, fashions, and politics. London, Calcutta, Ottawa, Montreal, Foochow, Bombay, Madras, Edinburgh, Halifax, and Toronto are among the many places of publication represented here. It is produced by the National Center for PTSD. Although it is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the PILOTS database is not limited to literature on PTSD among veterans.

compilation of 14,000+ public opinion surveys conducted in the United States and 80 other countries from 1986 to the present. Each of the nearly 350,000 records reports a question asked and the responses given. Also included in each record is the polling organization responsible for the work, the date the information was released, the sample size, and universe, i.e., the groups or areas included in the interview, such as parents with children in public schools, Great Britain, the United States, or California. All the surveys reported here were conducted using scientifically selected random samples.
Pravda ("Truth") was the official voice of Soviet communism and the Central Committee of the Communist Party between 1918 and 1991. Founded in 1912 in St. Petersburg, Pravda originated as an underground daily workers' newspaper, and it soon became the main newspaper of the revolutionary wing of the Russian socialist movement.
